Storm Damage Re-Roof

Western Building’s Insurance Repairs Division was engaged to repair and reinstate the full roofing of a rural cottage-style home following severe storm damage.

Works included the complete removal and disposal of all damaged roofing materials, along with restoration of external brickwork to the verandah to support the installation of a new timber roof frame across the entire house, in accordance with BCA requirements and Australian Standards.

Additional works included the installation of new ceilings throughout the home, insulation, plastering, painting, and associated electrical works to fully reinstate the cottage and return the property to its pre-damage condition.

Residential Fire Claim

Western Building Insurance Repairs Division was engaged to restore this property following severe fire damage.

In addition to structural repairs, the works included full electrical testing and certification, along with inspection of all plumbing, sewer, and stormwater drainage systems to ensure the home was safe and compliant.

Significant damage to the roof structure required major remediation, including replacement of plasterboard ceiling linings, cornices, and sections of brickwork. Internally, the project involved installing new floor tiles, lighting, built-in robes, door frames, doors, fittings, and power outlets throughout the home and attached garage.

All smoke-affected areas and contents were professionally cleaned, and the entire property was repainted. The home was ultimately restored to a safe, fully functional condition following the fire.

Explosion Damages

Western Building insurance building specialists attended and completed an initial fire damages clean up to the area and then repaired and replaced damaged roofing and smoke affected sections of the remains. Electrical, plumbing, plastering, full painting and sealing were then all completed throughout the property as part of the delicate repair process.
